Lead the Scene, Let’s Go Green!
The annual “Food Expo” is one of the largest of its kind in Asia, attracting the attendance of several hundred thousand food buyers and lovers. The Expo is a place for trade buyers to meet with suppliers and manufacturers. It also offers public visitors an opportunity to taste a wide variety of food and beverage products.
During the five-day event, it is hoped that visitors would respond and contribute to the Expo’s appeal for environmental protection to make the Food Expo a green spotlight. |
||
Green Travel | ||
Ask your friends to visit the Food Expo together using public transport. This would help reduce the production of exhaust gas, thereby reduce air pollution.
Carry Your Own Shopping Bag
We believe visitors to this annual food function will grasp this opportunity to support the food & everage industry and definitely will not return home empty-handed. So why not consider bringing along several shopping bags or rucksacks for carrying home your newly purchased stuff?
Environmentally-Friendly Consumption
Purchase of reusable or plain packed products could avoid unnecessary wrappings and also reduce waste production. This will enable a longer life span of the dumping area.
Bring Your Own Bottle | ||
Drinking machines are available inside the Fair venue. Please be environmental friendly and bring your own bottle.
Bring Your Own Utensils
To avoid using disposable cutlery, please bring your own utensils or use reusable utensils.
Go Paperless and Download Event Info before You Visit
Event materials like guide map, coupons and leaflet are made available on fair websites for you to download.
Sharing the Love for Forests
During and after the Expo you must be eager to share many photos with your friends but please try to do so through your blogs or e-mails in order to reduce paper consumption thus contributing to the protection of our forests.
Waste Recycle | ||
Categorised waste recycle bins are placed inside the Fair venue. Please treasure our resources and support waste recycle. A set of guidelines (item 3.21) on Waste Reduction and Recovery are recommended for exhibitors.
Food Recycle | ||
We have also cooperated with two Hong Kong’s food rescue charities - Food Angel and Food For Good to promote food recycling. Exhibitors are encouraged to donate their food waste and unwanted edible food products at the fairground, so as to benefit the grassroots community. |
